About Island Coachways

Operating from the old Tramsheds, the modern fleet is accommodated, serviced and prepared on site. Our employees include Coach and Bus drivers, Inspectors, Garage Mechanics, Cleaning Crew, Office Staff, Training Officer and :-

 

Managing Director - Hannah Beacom

A chartered accountant by training – with post qualification experience in the finance sector.  She served as a non-executive director prior to joining the company full time in February 2003 as managing director.

She is currently active as a commissioner of the Guernsey Arts Commission and as a non States Member of the Board of the Culture and Leisure Department.  She also runs the GYT Singers – a community choir.

She has served as a member of the Council of the Guernsey Chamber of Commerce and as a trustee of the Town Centre Partnership.

 

Director - Ben Boucher

Ben, brother of Hannah, has been with the company for over 20 years. Over this time, he has worked in the traffic office, in the workshop and in management.  In his current role, he is responsible for Health and Safety and Risk Management.

Outside of the business, he can often be seen marshalling for the Guernsey Kart and Motor Club.

 

Operations Manager – Jeff Senior

Jeff has made a huge impression within the company during a relatively short time.  He joined (he thought on a temporary basis!) as a driver in 2005.  Since then he has had successive promotions to inspector; senior inspector and in 2009 to Operations Manager.

He is responsible for the delivery of the bus services.

 

Strategic Planning Manager – Rob Branigan

Rob took over our “traffic office” in 2009.  His title reflects his responsibility for the forward planning of all of our work – including the bus services and all private hire work. 

 

Fleet Manager – Tom Wilson

Starting as an apprentice Tom trained commercial motor mechanic with Guernseybus.  He joined the company in 2005.


He is responsible for ensuring all vehicles are serviced and cleaned.  His staff include mechanics, cleaners and body repair.

 

Sales and New Business Development Manager – Isabel de Menezes

Isabel is responsible for all sales and new business into the company.  She can frequently be seen at wedding fairs and conventions, marketing all our services.

 

Office Manager – Jenny Down

Jenny joined the team in 1997 and she is your point of contact if you would like to join Island Coachways, as she deals with recruitment. 

 

Customer Care Manager – Ann Belben

Ann joined the company in 2003.  She is responsible for collecting and reporting customer feedback.  She also manages our driver of the month award - "Going the Extra Mile".
