OUR HISTORY

 

Island Coachways is a family owned Guernsey company that has been trading for over 40 years.  We have extensive experience of providing quality transportation for groups of all sizes.

 

Incorporated in 1977, the company was previously called Educational Holidays Limited.  It specialised in transporting visiting school groups. Since then, we have grown to operate the island’s largest fleet of coaches. Our mixed fleet of vehicles range in capacity from 16 seats to 39 seats.

From 2003 to 2012, we operated the bus service for the States of Guernsey.  During this time, we were shortlisted for the 2006 Route One Operator Training Award and we won the 2006 Route One Accessible Bus Operator Award.  We were awarded the Opening Doors Awards from Guide Dogs Uk in 2004. We have also been shortlisted at the Guernsey Awards for Achievement, in the large business and training categories.

Trading as IC Commercials, we opened our commercial garages to external customers in 2012.  We have always employed mechanics to support our own fleet, but as the business has grown, we have been able to offer our services to other commercial fleets on the island.
