Commercial Vehicle Technician

We are currently looking for a Commercial Vehicle Technician to join our busy workshop. As well as servicing and maintaining our own fleet of coaches and minibuses, we also have a number of external customers.
If you enjoy working within a small, supportive team, this could be the new challenge that you are looking for in 2022.
The ideal candidate will have completed their City and Guilds Level 3 Motor Vehicle. We would also welcome applicants who are qualified by experience or part way through their training at the College of Further Education.
Our ideal candidate will hold Category C and Category D driving licences to allow test drives. If you do not hold these licences, a willingness to train and take these tests is essential.

Qualified Drivers for Evenings & Weekends

Looking to take your career up a gear? Island Coachways Limited is looking for a professional part-time coach drivers to join its team, working on private hires, contracts and excursions for evening and weekend shifts.
We also have other part-time contracts available, offering a range of flexible shift patterns and hours to support your work-life balance. When applying, please state your availability/preference for working hours.
We are looking for customer-focused, flexible drivers with a positive, professional attitude! We would love to hear from you if you:
Are at least 18 years of age
Hold a category D1 (Manual) licence with PSV or Category D with PSV
Hold a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) certificate
Can be flexible with working hours
Have excellent customer service skills
Are of smart and professional appearance
Have a patient, safe and courteous approach to driving
As a representative of our business, and an ambassador for Guernsey, you will be friendly, helpful and comfortable dealing with our customers, your colleagues, and members of the public, ensuring safety and customer experience is placed first at all times.
The successful candidate will:
Deliver a quality service to all customers travelling on our vehicles.
Assist passengers with their luggage, when necessary, and ensure that items are safely secured on the vehicle.
Regularly check vehicles for lost property in accordance with company procedures and report items as soon as they are found.
Ensure that the coaches are kept clean - inside and out - and undertaking cleaning duties and fuelling, as required.
Adhere strictly to PSV regulations so that all statutory requirements are met.
Report any defects on coaches to the Operations Manager to ensure the safety and comfort of the customers.
Report any suspicious circumstances or damaged vehicles to the Operations Manager to ensure the continued safety of passengers.
Prepare written reports in connection with incidents as and when required in order to ensure our customer service standards are met and corporate guidelines are followed.
