As part of the Heritage Festival, join Island Coachways on our half day guided Occupation tour.
Your vehicle will depart from the Liberation Monument at the harbour, the location on 28th June 1940 of a deadly Nazi aerial attack on a line of defenceless tomato trucks.
Two days later the Nazi occupation began, lasting five long, dark years until the joyous Liberation on the 9th May 1945.
As your vehicle travels past key locations our guide will explain more about this fascinating period of our history.
There will be a stop at the Pleinmont "Batterie Dollman" and then a private tour of "Batterie Mirus" - the largest gun battery in the Channel Islands.
